Everytime you come in you get a sterilized set of tools.
As soon as we finish with a set of tools they get put in an ultrasonic cleaner. This uses high frequency, high-intensity sound waves to remove all the contaminants off the instruments.
They are then put into a steriliser in the blue packets you see when you come in for your appointment. It uses pressure and heat to destroy any micro-organisms that are on the instruments. This picture to the right is the Medlag steriliser we use here in clinic, and this gets serviced annually. This is a medical grade process for infection control, for your safety.
